Petition of Francis Kinlock

Report of the Committee on claims on the Petition of Francis Kinlock praying to be paid for a Negro executed.

 

Nov. 27, 1830 

 

The Committee on claims on to whom was referred  the Petition of Francis Kinlock praying to be paid for a Negro executed beg leave respectfully report.

That they have considered this claim and recommend that the prayer  not be granted.

The Negro in question was executed for exciting Insurrection, and your committee are of opinion, that owner of Negroes in Jack cases are by law entitled for compensation.
